I am gobsmacked after reading the defamatory reviews made by former customers ! I rang to ask for a call-out yesterday morning, please note that this man was recommended to me by another HAPPY customer, and was told that I would receive a visit the following morning. And that was precisely what happened. I found Mr.Skipper to be a very amiable and professional engineer. I was stood there watching only out of sheer interest, and was NOT told to move and he didn't seem to mind whatsoever. He took approx. 5 minutes to find the problem and a further 10 minutes to complete the work. I couldn't have been happier with the service. His rates were excellent and I would highly recommend him to friends and family. I cannot even imagine Mr.Skipper being anything other than friendly and at the top of his game. If you have any sense you will ignore the very slanderous reviews and take my word that this man will provide an excellent service.
Had an appointment for the engineer to call out sometime before lunch but waited until 1:30pm before calling to ask when to expect the engineer and was informed by extremely rude receptionist that he shouldnâ€™t be to much longer. I asked if she could be more specific with a rough time and she said sheâ€™d call the engineer and call me back with a time. After waiting an hour, I made several attempts to call them but just kept getting the answer machine so I left a message saying that our time had been wasted and our day had been totally disrupted to I left a request to cancel the call from the engineer. How disrespectful can a company be towards potential customers but after reading other reviews, theyâ€™re inability to run an efficient business has probably saved me from disaster.
Wish there was an option to give zero stars cause that's what the work rate deserves. This man has an absolute nightmare of an attitude almost bordering verbal abuse and likes to tells lies about customers that a slander/defimition of character case he would lose in a court of law that he goes to repair kitchen appliances if you do not do as he tells you to do like not to leave the room when he is attempting to repair an appliance telling the customer to sit down abruptly. If anyone has any sense you would find someone else to do your repair of any appliance in your home. Avoid at all cost & if you are having this engineer out through DomGen repair plan ask for someone else or you will be blacklisted & policy cancelled as a few people I have been in touch with after a visit from him in a report he put in about you.
The service we received from NCA Skipper was absolutely awful. The engineer did not know what the fault code meant on the washing machine so could not mend it and refused to wait while I telephoned the insurance company to get a policy no for the warranty on the machine. When I rang NCA Skippers office to speak to them I had the phone put down on me twice, they refused to give me the engineers name and told me the engineer had said I had called him "scruffy" (I certainly didn't! He could have worn pink tights and a tutu for all I cared, as long as he mended the machine!) Thankfully the job has now been passed to another company, who have been polite and helpful. I would NEVER recommend this company
In answer to this may i say the customer has yet to pay anything and i have not had the chance to examine the appliace to see if the leak is related to any work undertaken
This man came to fix a Hotpoint washing machine with a very noisy bearing, after fixing the bearing the machine did not work. He took the machine away and returned a couple of days later and said that it required a new mother board and suggested that I had to pay for it, (please rememeber that apart from being noisy the machine work perfectly before he touched it). The machine was then returned and on first use it flooded my kitchen. On first contact to the firm no reply was forthcoming, on second contact, I was told that an engineer would come to look at the machine the following day, no reference at all to the flooded kitchen. On third call told find time of call I was accused of harrasment and the phone was hung up on me. If this is the standard of customer service from this company I suggest that if you are looking for someone torepair your domestic appliances then go elsewhere.
Nigel Skipper is our 'go to' man for any appliance problems - and we've had plenty of problems for him to sort out over the years. I couldn't remember his contact details so I've just looked him up and am really surprised by the poor reviews he's received from some people. We've always found him to be spot-on with his diagnoses of the issues, speedy and efficient in sorting them (sometimes he resorts to clever lateral thinking to solve a seemingly hopeless situation) and we find him incredibly good value as well. We've never, ever found him anything other than pleasant and he's put up with curious children and grandchildren with unfailing good humour. In less than ten minutes he sorted out a problem my daughter had had for months with her tumble dryer Our daughter-in-law needs someone to sort out her tumble dryer problem and asked me if I'd contact him - he's done work for her, too, and that is why I'm here, writing this, now. Personally, we can't fault him, he's been sorting us out for at least twenty-five years and we dread the day he decides to hang up his tool belt.
After reading through the other reviews I can see a bit of a trend... and now I will be adding to them. The first time Nigel came around he seemed a bit odd but he seemed to sort the problem, a month later another problem occurred and Nigel turned up with his arrogance and insulted my fiancÃ© saying he should charge us for wasting his time and that the machine is fine... on the next wash the machine exploded and soaked my kitchen... in comes little Nigel again, this time without even knocking the door and insulted my mother in law. After taking a couple of photos he left to send his report. A week later I call the office and little Nigel has apparently sent the report... or so says the woman on the phone. 3 weeks later I call BEKO to see whatâ€™s happening and it turns out he hasnâ€™t even sent a report! I urge anybody thinking of using this little man to find someone else for the job!!!
Surprised this company has any has and customers, absolutely shocking customer service! Will not use them again! Avoid!
Basically the most unreliable waste of space ever. I have had two bad experiences with this company. Originally bought a Beko fridge freezer that started leaking after a series of no shows and no communication lies and rude service I eventually got refunded by Curryâ€™s due to the horrendous service I received. Secondly and most recently my Samsung washing machine stopped working and had a break down cover with D&G they said they would send an engineer which would be NCA Skipper I said how I would prefer not to have them after the appalling service I received with them. They said how they where the ones they have a contract with so I went ahead and gave the benefit of the doubt. Waited in all day for them to come and never arrived phoned D&G amd NCA Skipper had confirmed the work as complete. Absolute cow boy I have raised a formal complaint and have heard he was dropped from Beko which I had previously raised a formal complaint and now I hope D&G Will as well avoid at all costs!! Hopefully this business will cease trading. The bloke who came out to fix my washing machine from another company would love to have the contracts that NCA Skipper have and he delivers fab service. They are lucky I am not billing them for the amount of times I have wasted waiting in for him to show up and never to show.
